Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide math tutoring to Upward Bound high school students during the academic year, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and by appointment throughout the week, as requested by students. May Occasionally implement grade-level specific college preparatory math activities and lessons.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified
Required Qualifications
Involved in a post-secondary institution with a major in the pertinent academic discipline or evidence of equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
Experience in tutoring, mentoring, and/or community service with high school level students.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of TRIO program or experience in overcoming the challenges and/or circumstances similar to those of the target population.
