Join Utah State University and the Healthy Relationships Utah team as an hourly Fatherhood Education Coordinator! USU is hiring coordinators in Weber and Davis Counties to teach in person and virtually. The successful candidates will implement family‑life education programming for justice‑involved fathers, promoting father involvement, effective co‑parenting, and successful reentry. “Justice‑involved” includes fathers within the Utah State Correctional Facility, Central Utah Correctional Facility, county jails, adult probation and parole, and other justice‑involved settings.
Applicants must have a strong desire to strengthen the roles of justice‑involved fathers and be able to work independently, remotely, and as part of a team. Candidates should be comfortable teaching curriculum‑based courses in partnership with correctional facilities and adult probation & parole offices.
Anticipated start date is March 2026. Grant funding is anticipated through September 2030 but ongoing employment is contingent upon performance and continued grant support.
This hourly position (no benefits) works 5–29 hours per week with a wage of $28.00 per hour. The role is primarily telework within Utah; in‑person responsibilities in the selected candidate’s county and surrounding counties may be occasionally required.

Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, and maintain partnerships with justice‑involved organizations (jails, prisons, adult probation & parole, etc.).
- Recruit, retain, and manage class participants.
- Facilitate regular relationship education courses in‑person and virtually.
- Coordinate with county Extension faculty to support county relationship education initiatives.
- Coordinate incentives and other programmatic support where applicable.
- Maintain program, financial, and performance measurement records.
- Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, training sessions, and conferences.
- Follow domestic violence prevention and performance measurement protocols.
- Abide by the terms and conditions of the grant proposal and sponsor guidelines.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in family studies, social work, sociology, education, psychology, criminal justice, or related field plus two years of teaching experience presenting, training, and leading groups, or an equivalent combination of education and related field experience.
- Must live in Utah and be able to teach in‑person courses within prisons and county jails, which require a background check.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site (grant will reimburse mileage).
- Master’s degree in a related field with two years of teaching experience presenting, training, and leading groups, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with family‑life related programming.
- Proficiency in case management, client retention, and collaboration with family service organizations.
- Experience working professionally with fathers in correctional facilities.
- Training and certification in the Inside Out Dad Curriculum.
- Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE).
- Proficiency in Spanish.
- Strong commitment to strengthening family relationships.
- Commitment to nondiscrimination in programming.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in curriculum planning, presentation, and classroom management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based operating systems.
- Competence in creating, editing, and maintaining written materials.
- Skills in records maintenance, inventory control, and database management.
- Understanding of office management principles and procedures.
- Aptitude for fostering effective teamwork and making administrative decisions.
