Chemistry Tutor (Ogden Learning Center)

Position Summary:

Tutor Weber State University students in Chemistry at the Ogden Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is conducted on an individual appointment basis and/or in a drop‑in setting. Availability of appointments is set by the tutor. The university provides training in tutoring techniques. This is a pooled position; applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available.

After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

• Must be a WSU student.
• Must have earned a B or better in the courses the tutor will cover.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of chemistry and the courses to be tutored.
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Ability to tutor many different chemistry courses.

• Hourly Pay Rate: $14.50
• Hours per week: 7–20
