Job Summary /Basic Function:
Part‑time adjunct instructor of lower division physical education activity courses as needed per semester. The instructor is responsible for leading safe, effective and enjoyable classes for the HPHP department in various disciplines and activities, including but not limited to:
Aerobics, Walking for Fitness, Jogging, Yoga, Cross Training for Fitness, Strength Training, Archery, Fencing, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Water Aerobics, Scuba Diving, Self‑Defense, Tai Chi, Kempo, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Bicycling, Skiing, Snowboarding, Ice Skating.
Required Qualifications:
To be determined at time of interview based on specific course requirements. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and relational service skills.

Physical Requirements of this position:
Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls requiring exertion of forces greater than sedentary work.
Visual Acuity Requirements:
Color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The conditions this worker will be subject to in this position:
Environmental conditions, including protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes; vibration—exposure to oscillating movements; hazards—proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding, high places, high heat or chemicals; atmospheric conditions—fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
