Adjunct Taxation Instructor (Part‑time)

Job Summary:
Part‑time adjunct instructor of Taxation. Teach one or two upper‑division or graduate courses per semester as needed.
- Teach assigned courses each semester.
- Prepare and deliver course materials.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Business Administration with accounting/taxation emphasis, or a Bachelor’s degree with significant professional tax experience.
- JD and LLM degrees also acceptable.
- Background check required.
- CPA license.
- Other relevant professional certifications.
- Standing for sustained periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks, including long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Operating, activating, using, preparing, inspecting, placing, detecting, or positioning objects.
- Feeling and perceiving attributes of objects by touch.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas, conveying detailed instructions accurately or quickly.
- Receiving detailed information with or without assistance.
- Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Light work; exerting up to 20 lbs occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently.
- Use of arm or leg controls exerting greater forces than sedentary work.
- Color, depth perception, and field of vision adequate for preparing, analyzing data, transcribing, using a computer, and extensive reading.
- No significant exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
- Background check required as a condition of employment.
- Due to the Affordable Care Act, individuals who have worked in a salaried capacity for Weber State University and left within the last six months are ineligible to be hired as hourly or adjunct employees for six months.
