Salary Hourly Pay Rate $14.00/hour
Office Assistants are reliable, detail-oriented individuals who support the daily operations of the Math Tutoring Center. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. This is a pooled position.
Responsibilities- Create a welcoming environment for all students, such as greeting students who sign in using the kiosk
- Assist students with the center queue process and answer any additional questions
- Direct tutors to specific student sessions
- Ensure tutors and students have the supplies needed for effective tutoring sessions (paper, utensils, etc.)
- Send professional email correspondence with students about the center’s hours, scheduling appointments, and other center‑related questions
- Keep the center clean and well‑organized
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organizational and time‑management skills
- Familiarity with Starfish
Criminal background check is required as a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force frequently to move objects.
- Mostly sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
Required to have visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, using a computer terminal, and reading extensive text.
