Tutor Science classes to WSU students who are participating in SSS STEM. Tutoring is individual and by appointment. Tutors must have a grade of B+ or above in the class tutoring. Training will be provided and will be required. Tutors will work Fall and Spring Semesters. Tutor hours will vary based on the needs of SSS STEM students and tutors.
Peer Educator will be responsible for supporting the success by providing intentional mentoring one‑on‑one in the following topic areas:
- Navigation of campus resources (financial aid, registration, wellness, etc.)
- Connection to campus and community (transition to college, making meaningful connections, participating in campus and community programs, etc.)
- Preparation for graduation and beyond (resumes, leadership skills, communication skills, etc.)
NOTE: This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications- Good communication skills
- Grades of B+ or higher in classes needed for tutoring

Physical RequirementsSedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever.
Visual Acuity RequirementsInclusion of color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Environmental ConditionsNone. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
