Campus Visit and Ambassador Program Coordinator

The Campus Visit and Ambassador Program Coordinator provides professional leadership and day-to-day management for Weber State University's campus visit experience and Student Ambassador Program. This position plays a critical role in shaping positive first impressions for prospective students, families, school groups, community partners and campus guests by ensuring that campus tours, presentations and visitor communications are welcoming, organized, accurate and aligned with university enrollment goals.

The Campus Visit and Ambassador Program Coordinator is responsible for managing the campus tour program, including individual tours, group visits, special visit requests, tour schedules, visitor communication, ambassador assignments, social media, and follow-up processes. This position coordinates closely with the Director of Access, Events and Engagement, Admissions and Recruitment staff, academic departments and student support offices to ensure that prospective students and families receive a high-quality campus visit experience that reflects Weber State's commitment to access, belonging, student success and community connection.

This position also oversees the Student Ambassador Program, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, performance management and leadership development for a team of student employees. The Campus Visit and Ambassador Program Coordinator develops ambassadors as knowledgeable university representatives, peer recruiters and emerging campus leaders. The position creates structure, expectations and accountability for the ambassador team while building a positive team culture grounded in professionalism, service, and Weber State pride.

In addition to managing tours and ambassadors, this position delivers campus visit presentations, supports on-campus recruitment and access events and helps maintain effective communication with prospective students, families, school counselors and campus partners. The position uses CRM, event management, scheduling and communication systems to support accurate records, timely communication and data-informed improvements to the campus visit program.

This role is designed to provide consistent professional oversight for campus visits and ambassador operations, reduce reliance on student interns for complex coordination and strengthen the Ambassador Program as both a recruitment function and a student leadership development experience.
