Job DescriptionThe Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Weber State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistantprofessor starting July 1, 2027. We seek a person with teaching experience and expertise in organic chemistry.
Job Duties- Teach undergraduate organic chemistry lectures and labs, aswell as other courses based on the candidate's interest/expertise and department needs
- Establish an active and sustained research program with an emphasis on engaging undergraduate students in organicchemistry.
- Serve on department, college, and university committees.
- A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field.
ABD candidates considered if the degree is completed before July
2027.
- Proven dedication to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and inspire all students toachieve academic goals and build a foundation for futureeducation.
- A commitment to research that leads to scholarly disseminationand the ability to integrate research interests intoundergraduate-level projects.
- Track record of collaborative professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
