Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel s scope of service in Sentinel s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

The Sentinel Project is seeking an experienced security planner who will develop a program deployment playbook (policies/plans/procedures). This position will assist the Physical Security Manager in establishing site security measures, operational capability, emergency response procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance at U.S. Air Force fielded assets within the United States. Under supervision of Project Security Management, the Security Planner designs, implements, and manages strategies to protect program assets, people, and information.
They work with teams to build cohesive defenses, conduct training, and adapt plans to emerging threats.
- Develop and maintain program deployment playbooks, including policies, plans, and procedures.
- Support the Physical Security Manager in establishing site security measures and operational capabilities.
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the protection of program assets, personnel, and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build integrated and effective security procedures.
- Conduct training sessions to support security readiness and operational execution.
- Monitor and analyze emerging threats and adapt security plans.
Requires bachelor s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Technical Writing Abilities
- Program/Operational Management experience
- Experience with planning and development of deployment playbooks
- Knowledge of physical security systems (access control, video surveillance, etc.)
- Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Some travel is required. ~25%
