**** About the Role
** As a Field Service Engineer based in Utah or Colorado, you’ll be the front-line ambassador of Malvern Panalytical company. This role is more than just technical service—it’s about restoring customer confidence, minimizing downtime, and ensuring long-term satisfaction with our scientific instrumentation.
You’ll travel extensively to customer sites across the U.S., providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training. Your ability to communicate with empathy and precision will turn service calls into positive customer experiences. If you enjoy solving problems, working independently, and making a real impact in scientific and industrial environments, this role is for you.
** What You Will Bring to the Role
*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a STEM-related field (or equivalent technical experience)
* 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems
* Confidence working independently and managing your own schedule
* Strong electro-mechanical skills and a customer-first mindset
* Comfort providing training and support to end users
* Ability to de-escalate tense situations and build trust with customers
* Familiarity with CRM systems and service documentation tools
* Excellent time and travel management skills
** Additional Requirements
*** Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
* Must hold a valid passport for domestic and international travel
* Must be able to obtain and maintain any required certifications or licenses
* Must possess a personal credit card for business-related expenses (reimbursed per company policy)
** Environment and Hours

* Travel required:
up to 80%, including overnight stays
