The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full‑Time LEAD INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NJ‑0895‑04) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO‑ALC) at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Primary Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Lead Industrial Engineering Technician, performing official team‑lead duties and coaching a team of predominantly non‑supervisory Industrial Engineering Technician type employees primarily at the journeyman level (or higher), by coaching and overseeing projects, assignments, work‑loading, and performing like duties as team lead.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Obtain and maintain a Security clearance.
  • Designation may include a Drug‑Testing Position.
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical (if applicable).
  • Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours, including overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required, which may include overtime and/or compensatory hours.
Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Expert level knowledge of a variety of industrial engineering technical processes and techniques, including work measurement, methods improvement, engineered time standards, MTM, layout design, and cost analysis.
  • Expert level knowledge of depot maintenance operations, concepts, practices, and techniques critical to repair, manufacturing and modifications of major weapons systems and components.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including the ability to adjust work operations and change program or production requirements, establish objectives or performance goals, direct and organize functions, mentor, lead, and motivate a team, and assess progress toward their achievement.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, construction, maintenance and repair facility work processes and methods.
  • Knowledge of safety, occupational health, and security requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations or technical orders.
  • Skill and ability to understand the requirements for PONs, PCNs, PCRNs and the processing of the JON Closeout.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
