The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full‑Time Supervisory Electronics Engineer/Supervisory Computer Scientist (NH‑0855/1550‑03) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center location at Hill Air Force Base, UT. Responsibilities

• Serve as a first‑level supervisor and professional electronics engineer/computer scientist with project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s).

• Provide prototyping, simulation, training and tools support for software systems of the highest quality and capability to the warfighter, while meeting commitments to safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship
Obtain & maintain a Top security clearance
This is a drug testing designated position; subject to random drug testing.
Required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for temporary duty.
Subject to recall during non‑duty hours, weekends, and holidays to complete proposals and/or resolve software problems.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field from an ABET‑accredited program (highly desired).
Designation as a Non‑Critical Acquisition Position covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
Must be able to obtain and maintain Cyberspace qualification per DoDM 8140.03.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Professional knowledge of electronics engineering and computer science concepts, theories, principles, and practices; working knowledge of other disciplines such as aerospace, industrial, mechanical, and electrical engineering; broad range of engineering standards, precedents, methods, and techniques to ensure compliance with regulations and standards; and applicability of such knowledge to design, production, and maintenance of operational flight programs, automated test systems, test program set software, and other systems supporting the warfighter and weapons systems program offices.

Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.

Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.

Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, standard configuration and finding regulations, practices and processes related to system acquisition and sustainment management functions.
