JR Automation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative custom factory automation and amusement park rides and attractions. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to apply fundamental engineering principles in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact- Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CREO).
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs and predict performance.
- Support the development and execution of test plans for prototypes and finished products.
- Collect and analyze test data.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional project teams.
- Participate in design reviews, contributing technical insights and problem-solving.
- Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Document designs, processes, and test results in accordance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose solutions under guidance.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CREO) is required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, especially statics, dynamics and machine design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical experience working on mechanical systems and a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior internship or project experience in mechanical design or testing is a plus.
