Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer
Location:
Roy, UT. Supporting the Sentinel Program in Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.
Clearance required:
Secret. Travel: 10% of time.
- Support the team across the full systems‑engineering life cycle, from use‑case development through verification.
- Collaborate closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) counterparts to produce rigorous systems‑engineering and design artifacts, working with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature a Weapon System design for a large‑scale program.
- Define, allocate, and trace requirements; ensure accurate representation in the system model.
- Perform functional decomposition and interface definition.
- Support verification activities.
- Develop the system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, modeling behavioral, structural, and analytical aspects of the solution.
- Contribute to ongoing requirements development, management, and analysis while establishing unifying modeling techniques, procedures, and processes that enable seamless model development, tool integration, and team collaboration.
Position may be filled at Systems Engineer (T‑02) or Principal Systems Engineer (T‑03) level.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years related experience for T‑02 or 5 years related experience, 3 years with a Master’s, and 1 year with a PhD for T‑03.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application; clearance current and within scope with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1.
- Experience leading SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR).
- Familiarity with Teamcenter/Common Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM).
- 1+ year experience in ICMBs (MMIII or Sentinel) or complex aerospace/defense systems.
- 1+ year experience in developing and executing SE process governance documentation in a Department of Defense (DoD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.
- 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS.
- 1+ year experience on large‑scale/complex system development across multiple phases of a development program.
- 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products.

9/80 schedule: nine‑hour days Monday‑Thursday, alternating Friday off.
