This position is ideal for an engineer with 2–5 years of experience in medical device manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, or cost/operations analysis who is looking to broaden their exposure to global manufacturing, quoting strategy, and cross functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Costing & Engineering Analysis – Develop and maintain detailed cost models for medical device components, subassemblies, and finished goods. Create new cost sheets or revise existing cost models using ATL’s approved costing templates. Ensure models accurately reflect BOM structure and material sourcing, country of origin requirements, manufacturing routings and labor content, and equipment, tooling, and fixture needs. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to validate routings, cycle times, and process assumptions.
  • Global Costing Coordination – Coordinate costing activities across ATL’s global manufacturing sites. Define scope of work and deliverables for site-specific cost inputs. Track cost package progress and escalate risks related to timelines or accuracy. Participate in weekly Global Costing reviews.
  • Quoting & New Business Support – Review customer RFQs and quote packages to identify technical gaps, assumptions, or risks. Work with Sales and Customers to clarify requirements and define manufacturable solutions. Propose alternate designs, materials, or processes to improve cost or feasibility. Ensure New Business Opportunity (NBO) approvals are received prior to starting costing activities.
  • Supplier & NPI Collaboration – Partner with Supply Chain to obtain and analyze supplier quotations based on forecasted volumes. Ensure all supplier and equipment quotes are documented and stored per process. Collaborate with NPI teams to estimate Non Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs. Maintain cost model integrity when projects move from quote to awarded status, incorporating approved engineering changes.
  • Process & Systems Ownership – Maintain accurate records in ATL’s Microsoft Costings List, including opportunity details, status, timelines, and closure. Support consistency and compliance with ATL’s global costing process. Utilize and maintain data across ATL systems, including ERP (Infor), CRM, SharePoint, PLM, Workfront, Power BI, Microsoft Lists.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or similar) or a related technical discipline.
