Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will prepare design and procurement documents for the Sentinel Project. This position has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating the design as it pertains to chilled water systems and unique requirement driven equipment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in piping system and equipment design and will be capable of developing design documents and procurement documents, including Specifications, Material

Requisition s, Piping and Instrumentation diagrams and equipment data sheets as well as strong organizational and teamwork skills and proven problem-solving capabilities. You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and the client in the development of the design.

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Evaluates, selects, and applies standard material engineering methods, techniques, standards, specifications, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications​

+ Participates in the design, development and modification of processes and methods for the manufacture, molding, and utilization of metallic, plastic, composite and other materials in construction and production of hardware, electronic components and structures​

+ Analyzes materials and material components to establish mechanical and physical properties​

+ Reviews operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results​
