# Project Overview:

Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement, and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, and review electrical engineering design work, produce drawings and documentation, and prepare design estimates for a project. You will coordinate with clients, facilitate technical discussions, and review key electrical drawings, calculations, and bid summaries. You will solve complex technical issues and ensure electrical designs comply with all regulations and standards. #LI-HB1

This position is for a Smart Plant 3D Designer who will prepare electrical 3D designs as well as 2D electrical AutoCAD and Smart Sketch designs to support new facility infrastructure design for DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs.

+ This role will support design development of electrical systems and equipment for the Sentinel project by preparing models, drawings, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. The candidate will work with electrical engineers, junior designers, and other technical disciplines in a team environment with job responsibilities (include but not limited to):

+ Supporting, coaching, and training less experienced designers.

+ Modeling of electrical rooms, equipment, cable tray, conduit, conduit duct bank, lighting, receptacles, etc. in a Smartplant 3D model environment.

+ Creating bill of materials and drawing installation details for the modelled items listed above in addition to grounding, lightning protection, support details, and other details using Smart Sketch and AutoCAD.

+ Performing calculations utilizing AGI 32 for lighting layouts and ETAP for ground grid layouts.

+ Assist with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc. with other physical related disciplines.
