Sentinel CS Prod Ops Design Integration Engineering Manager

Position Summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Command Systems Prod Ops Design Integration Manager, Engineering 2. The position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

Relocation assistance may be available. The role requires a Secret clearance and is eligible for 25% travel.

• Support the Air Force’s Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract to replace the aging Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) System and associated infrastructure.
• Lead cross‑functional communication and mentoring with senior management, peers, and employees.
• Own people, processes, tools, and training that enable manufacturing operations to achieve mission objectives.
• Provide leadership in technical guidance, process development, continuous improvement, capacity planning, capital & facility planning, cost/benefit analysis, manpower planning, staffing, and implementation of AS9100 and all auditable processes.

The standard schedule is 9/80, allowing employees to work nine hours Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of aerospace manufacturing or related field, or
• Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval as required.
• One year of experience with production planning functions.
• One year of experience leading manufacturing or production operations activities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.

• At least one year of project leadership or performance management against schedule.
• Proven leadership and problem‑solving skills, strong work ethic, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership or management experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Technical or functional environmental leadership experience.
• Familiarity with Northrop Grumman project execution, processes, and procedures.
• Experience in the aerospace / ICBM industry.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP & MES.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Experience establishing tools, processes, production schedules, and metrics.

Primary level salary range: $ – $. Additional considerations may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives for certain positions.
