Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company as an Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team! This FSE position directly supports 3 different combat F-35 squadrons at Hill Air Force Base (AFB), UT.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Nose to Tail (NTT) FSE, the preferred candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS). It is desired the individual also be an emerging authority in Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures, with the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of MS, VS, or SLO.

Additional Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
  • The candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team's technical interface to the on-site Customer (both Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.
  • Some travel required; candidate must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to the Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) and hazardous duty locations. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.
  • Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all levels.
  • Provide support for the assigned site on aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitations. Direct on-site support as requested by customer, site manager or program management.
  • Manage and track multiple engineering and logistics support activities, providing periodic status to customer and Program Management.
  • Must possess a final Secret Security Clearance. Must be a United State citizen.

  • Experience communicating to Military leadership teams and Senior Leaders
  • Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub‑system level.
  • Technical report writing skills
  • Experience with technical drawings/schematics reading and interpretation.
  • Experience with engineering tools to include, but not limited to FSE Vision/VAST, PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE.
  • Experience with Supportable Low Observables (SLO) and structures
  • Experience partnering with USAF and Partner AF military operational units during deployed operations
