YourRole
As Vice President of Engineering & Design, you will lead and integrate all engineering, design, BIM/VDC, and technical functions across the organization. You will be responsible for building a high-performing technical team while driving strategy, operational excellence, and digital transformation. This is a highly visible executive leadership role combining technical oversight, organizational development, and client engagement. You will partner closely with executive leadership to shape the future of the business and position the company as a leader in engineering and advanced manufacturing.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead all engineering, design, detailing, and BIM/VDC functions
- Develop and execute engineering strategy, digital roadmap, and innovation initiatives
- Build, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary technical organization
- Establish standards, processes, and performance accountability systems
- Oversee engineering execution including structural, piping, and fabrication-driven design
- Ensure deliverables meet codes, quality standards, and client expectations
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, constructability, and technical performance
- Advance BIM, digital delivery, automation, and integrated project workflows
- Collaborate with estimating, project management, procurement, and fabrication teams
- Improve integration across engineering, design, and manufacturing operations
- Support fabrication strategy through standardization and manufacturing readiness
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to clients and partners
- Support business development, client relationships, and strategic growth initiatives
- Represent the organization at industry and executive-level engagements
- 15+ years of progressive engineering, design, or technical leadership experience
- 10+ years leading multidisciplinary technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience in industrial construction, fabrication, modularization, or EPC environments
- Strong understanding of structural systems, piping systems, and fabrication methods
- Experience with BIM/VDC, digital delivery, and integrated project workflows
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and executive leadership
- Strong business acumen, communication skills, and executive presence
- Track record of building teams, systems, and scalable organizations
