Piping Stress Engineer

As Pipe Stress Engineer, you will support the design, analysis, and implementation of piping systems and pipe support solutions for semiconductor, data center, and industrial applications. You’ll perform piping stress analysis, design support systems, and coordinate closely with structural engineers to ensure every system meets applicable codes and customer requirements.

• Perform static and dynamic stress analysis for piping systems subject to thermal, sustained, seismic, wind, hydrotest, and occasional loads
• Evaluate system flexibility and code compliance using industry standard analysis software
• Ensure compliance with ASME and applicable customer specifications
• Design and specify pipe supports including anchors, guides, spring hangers, struts, expansion joints, and snubbers
• Determine support locations, loads, and fabrication requirements, and develop calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Verify equipment nozzle loads for pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and other critical equipment
• Provide support load information to structural and civil engineering teams, and coordinate designs with structural steel, pipe racks, and foundations
• Review P&IDs, piping layouts, 3D models, and isometric drawings for consistency with analysis models
• Support estimating, procurement, project management, and fabrication teams, and participate in customer and project review meetings

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• PE license required
• 5+ years of piping stress analysis and pipe support engineering experience
• Proficiency with CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, Rohr2, or similar analysis software
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, pipe supports, and structural loading principles
