Lead Activity Designer

The Lead Activity Designer will spearhead the design and implementation of compelling activities to entertain and challenge players in a player-driven open world.

Responsibilities
  • Vision and Documentation:
    Understand the game’s intended position in the market, design toward those goals; articulate a compelling vision for gameplay activities; maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaboration:

    Work with the Lead World Designer, Design Director, and other design leads to integrate activities, take feedback, and maintain cohesion.
  • Leadership and Management:
    Build and lead a team of activity designers, mentor juniors, and manage career growth.
  • Design and Implementation:
    Create repeatable open‑world activities, scripted narrative‑driven activities, pinnacle activities, and limited‑time events.
  • Play testing, Maintenance, and Tuning:
    Conduct playtests, translate feedback, maintain live-service activities, fix bugs, and tune as necessary.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ design experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • 3+ years as a people‑manager in design.
  • Shipped 1+ live‑service multiplayer title(s) in a design leadership role.
  • Shipped 1+ action title(s) in a design leadership role.
  • Designed and implemented 1+ “endgame” activities for a live‑service title.
  • Passion for online RPGs.
  • Nice‑to‑Haves: UE5 expertise, C++ and/or scripting experience, knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, analytical frameworks.
