Book Keeper​/Accountant

Lindquist Mortuary is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy individual to manage daily financial transactions and oversee payroll processing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to work accurately in a compassionate, service-focused environment.

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and customer payments
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end closing
• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely bill payments
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule (weekly/biweekly)
• Maintain employee payroll records, tax with holdings, and benefits deductions
• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and related reports
• Coordinate with HR on employee onboarding, terminations, and pay adjustments
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner

• High school diploma
• College degrees preferred but not required
