Job Summary/Basic Function | This position closely coordinates with other finance team members within the Division of Online and Continuing Education to provide necessary financial information to leadership to inform strategic decisions. This position helps generate profit and loss reports for assigned programs using specific software, monitors and tracks all expenses for the division to ensure compliance with accounting standards, and is required to stay current on campus policies and procedures for compliance with WSU auditing requirements.

This position may also coordinate departmental financial requests such as purchase requisitions, funds transfers, budget transfers, PARs and ePars, and other financial documentation as needed. This position regularly reviews various financial reports for accuracy and resolves discrepancies. Critical thinking skills, effective communication, timely and appropriate follow-through, attention to detail, and proficient data entry experience are very important in this position.

Required Qualifications |

Required:

Bachelor’s degree Two years of related full-time experience in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications | Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree specifically in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field One year full-time experience working in a higher education environment Experience with Banner, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Quick Books Skills working with database and reporting software Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

The annual salary for this position starts at $44,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications. The position comes with a generous benefits package.
