Job Summary and Qualifications

• Develop optimal treatment strategies using expertise in technical aspects of radiation oncology, including simulation and treatment processes.
• Assess patients and recognize changes in their status.
• Educate patients on radiation side effects and their management.
• Document treatment parameters and maintain accurate electronic medical records related to the radiation therapy process.
• Evaluate, critique, and recommend changes to the radiation therapy process as necessary.
• Participate in patient simulation and fabricate immobilization devices and treatment accessories on an emergency on‑call basis and during clinical rotations.
• Perform simulations on HDR patients, assist in catheter measuring, documentation, and hookup, and help nurses with post‑HDR patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (ARRT‑R) Radiography certification.
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer certification.
• Associate Degree.
• (ARRT‑T) Radiation Therapy, or (Rad Therapy) Radiation Therapist certification.
