Essential Functions

In this role, you will:

  • Practice safely and professionally within the scope of state licensure.
  • Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competencies in all assigned clinical and technical functions.
  • Verify patient identity, confirm exam orders, and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform exams according to department protocols and evaluate images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic quality.
  • Follow strict radiation safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and caregivers.
  • Complete studies efficiently while maintaining exceptional patient care and image quality.
  • Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address any questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Practice proper infection control and sterile technique at all times.
  • Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
  • Adhere to all departmental protocols including medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment concerns.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a JRCERT- or AMA-accredited radiologic technology program with documented completion of clinical and didactic training required by state regulations.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
