Work hours are semester based, daytime 7:30-4:30 coverage, may change based on semester, reinforce course concepts through
instruction and practical laboratory applications, record attendance
and assess students' knowledge of key concepts, assist with laboratory organization and preparation of learning activities, and provide constructive feedback to the department and departmental faculty.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Sciences or an associate's degree in Medical Lab Sciences with 2 years of experience is required.
Preference will be given to applicants who have completed courses through the WSU Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Licensed through ASCP as an MT or MLT
Basic lab skills, ie; phlebotomy, pipette, microscopes, basic culture setup, operation of lab equipment, basic knowledge of UA, Chem, Micro, Immunology, Serology, Hematology. Also grading of laboratory assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication skills are required.

Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading. The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position. None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
