Position Title: Field Laboratory Representative
Dress Code: Solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes
Assignment Duration: Temp, Ongoing (Indefinite)
Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Schedule- Monday: 6:15pm-8:15pm
- Tuesday: 6:15pm-8:15pm
- Wednesday: 6:15pm-8:15pm
- Thursday: 6:15pm-8:15pm
- Friday: 10:00am-12:00pm (10 hours per week)

DescriptionAs a Field Laboratory Representative, you will be a critical part of the quantitative drug testing analysis performed by our client. You will be responsible for efficiently and safely obtaining urine samples from patients for the purpose of laboratory testing. In this role you will be required to conduct observed and/or supervised specimen collections. Observed Collections are those requiring observation of patient providing sample either by direct vision, through a mirror, or through a camera.
Supervised collects are those requiring supervision of patient providing sample by being in the same vicinity as the patient.
- Facilitate the collection, processing and shipping of urine specimens
- Collect urine specimens from patients
- Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained
- Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment
- Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
- Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base
- Follow Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Inform Supervisor of low volume shifts, unusual problems or deviations from established procedures
- Maintain neat, clean, orderly patient/work areas at all times
- Order processing & office supplies as needed
- Verifiable track-record of providing excellent customer service
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Strong computer skills - must be able to work in multiple programs and windows, manage email and reports
- Fast and accurate data entry
- Communicate clearly and concisely with accuracy, credibility and confidence
