Advanced Allergy & Asthma is a specialty clinic dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care for individuals living with allergies, asthma, and immunologic conditions. Our experienced clinical team is committed to improving quality of life through evidence-based diagnosis and treatment in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Ogden, Utah.
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of our providers. You will support clinical operations from patient intake through treatment, with a focus on allergy and asthma-specific procedures including allergy testing and immunotherapy. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with daytime hours—no nights, no weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient intake including vitals, medical history review, and chief complaint documentation
- Assist providers with allergy skin testing (scratch/intradermal), patch testing, and pulmonary function testing (spirometry)
- Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy injections per physician protocols; monitor patients post-injection
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Prepare and stock exam rooms; ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and ready for use
- Collect and process laboratory specimens including blood draws and nasal smears
- Educate patients and families on allergy/asthma management plans and medication instructions
- Coordinate with front office on scheduling, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic infection control standards
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required; experience in allergy, asthma, or a related specialty clinic strongly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and injection administration required
- Experience with EHR systems; comfort with clinical documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- BLS/CPR certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Full-time, Monday through Friday — daytime hours only (no evenings or weekends)
