Volunteer Description

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles.

• Same Day – Keeping family updated with information regarding their family member who is having surgery and helping at the front desk.
• Front Information Desk – Engaging with individuals entering the hospital, assisting with way finding and escorting to appointments.
• Endoscopy Clinic – Assisting patients and staff in the Endoscopy Clinic and meeting their needs.
• Womens' Imaging – Assisting in getting patients back to the department, providing gowns and giving instructions.
• Music – Playing the piano.
• Other Departments – Patient experience and way finding.

• Minimum 6‑month commitment with a minimum of 3‑4 hour shift each week.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to work alone and independently.
• Have good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Physical mobility (walking, bending, standing).Adequate hearing and vision.
• Sensitive to patient and family situations.

• Pass a background check.
• Agree to get a TB test.
• Meet immunization compliance.
