Phlebotomist

Join a dedicated clinical setting in the region as a Phlebotomist and be a vital part of patient care and laboratory testing. This role offers an ongoing, temporary assignment with flexible hours, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance your experience in specimen collection and patient interaction while working with a supportive team.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimens
  • Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens accurately and efficiently
  • Observe and collect urine specimens from patients, following procedures for observed or supervised collections
  • Properly identify patients before specimen collection and label specimens correctly
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
  • Follow departmental policies and safety guidelines, including Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist with order processing and office supplies as needed
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience
  • Strong customer service skills with a verifiable track record of providing excellent care
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills, including managing multiple programs, email, and report management
  • Fast and accurate data entry capabilities
  • Effective communication skills, with clarity, confidence, and credibility
Additional Skills & Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Physical ability to perform frequent walking, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting
  • Previous experience with venipuncture and specimen collection preferred
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
