Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Job Summary

This role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy services, including screening, testing, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities in accordance with professional standards. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, educating patients and caregivers, supervising staff, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy evaluations and treatments based on diagnoses and referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to optimize care outcomes.
• Manage all aspects of patient care, including supervising assistants and staff.
• Participate in continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Contribute to program development and marketing efforts to grow services.

• Current occupational therapy license and BLS certification.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient engagement skills.
• Proficiency in computer use and documentation.
• Physical ability to assess patients, handle equipment, and assist with transfers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
