Job Summary/Basic Function
The successful applicant will assist Athletic Training & Occupational Therapy faculty members with serving as a standardized patient in the Masters of Athletic Training (MSAT) program and Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program. These efforts require good communication and feedback skills with the with the faculty and students. Hiring priority will be given to students who have completed the course “RHS 3505:
Standardized Patients”.
- Training on standardized patient cases
- Portraying a standardized patient for MSAT & OTA simulations
- Providing feedback to MSAT & OTA students on their communication skills with you as a patient
- This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Must be an undergraduate student in good standing with the University (minimum of 2.0
GPA) continuously enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours (9 credit hours for graduate students).
Junior, or Senior student with aGPAof 3.0 or higher; computer, and technology skills; proficient in MS word, excel; completed RHS 3505; communicate and work well with faculty and students.
