Job Title:
Human Resources and Payroll Manager Summary
Plans, directs, develops, implements, and coordinates human resources strategies; leads, and directs the HR Department; ensures legal compliance with applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; oversees payroll; oversees talent acquisition, employee relations and negotiations; develops compensation and benefit packages; aligns HR initiatives with Murphy Door's overall business goals; advises Executive Staff on strategic and workforce planning.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Leads, guides, directs, and manages HR staff in accomplishing the duties and responsibilities of the HR Department, including setting goals and ensuring consistent, high-quality results
- Develops and implements approved HR strategies to support organizational goals, including long-term workforce planning and talent management
- Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, including recruiting, hiring, and onboarding, as well as professional development and performance management programs
- Oversees biweekly and semi-monthly payroll for company
- Manages employee issues, disputes, and disciplinary actions, and reduces risks inherent in HR situations and activities
- Works in conjunction with the Finance Department to develop and manage Murphy Door's compensation, benefits, and payroll systems
- Knows, understands, and effectively applies all federal, state, and local employment laws, rules and regulations in the Murphy Door workplace
- Creates and implements approved HR policies and programs; plays a key role in shaping a positive company culture
- Works directly with Murphy Door’s legal advisors to ensure legal viability of all HR activities, programs, policies, procedure sand practices
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related business field is required, Master’s Degree preferred.
Skills and Certifications- Proven leadership track record in leading HR activities for a corporation
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Expertise in all areas of human resources, including recruitment, compensation, and labor relations
- Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking abilities, combined with strategic planning experience
