The Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Service Now Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management - Operations II (GSM-O II) contract s contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA's operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA's mission partners.

Hill AFB, UT. The contract is a permanent staff position based at Ogden, UT. The role requires daily on‑site presence at one of the listed facilities. A secret clearance and Security+ certification (to be obtained within 14 days of starting) are mandatory.
- Support the stand‑up, configuration and implementation of Service Now's ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
- Create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups and roles.
- Create, maintain and enhance dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
- Create and configure tool integrations with Service Now (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc.).
- Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades.
- Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows.
- Work with other members of the Service Now development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies.
- Design and configure Service Now functions to meet operational needs.
- Support business process re‑engineering activities to move ticketing and order management capabilities into Service Now.
- Identify trends and patterns in unstructured and semi‑structured customer data to improve customer experience and overall network performance.
- Interact with the customer to address systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts.
- Develop, configure and customize the Service Now platform to fit business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Orchestrate and automate tasks.
- Design and build Service Now applications and integrate with other applications and platforms, following architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Provide strong development and project oversight, collaborating on new and enhancement development between engineers, developers, analysts and other team members.
- Follow, maintain and apply documentation best‑practice policies, procedures and processes throughout Service Now development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for Service Now configuration, implementation and support.
- Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal teams and align them into Service Now development.
- Utilize available programming methodologies and languages, adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to technical code documentation.
- Support data migration as needed.
- Design and implement solutions following established configuration management policies and standards.
- Integrate data from multiple data sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained.
- Mentor junior developers, guiding and coaching them throughout each project.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active security certification meeting DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+).
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to commute to Scott AFB, IL;
Fort Meade, MD; or Ogden, UT for full‑time on‑site support. - Bachelor's degree with 8‑12 years of relevant experience or master's with 6‑10 years of prior relevant experience (additional work experience may substitute for a degree).
- At least 6 years of experience designing, developing and supporting technology infrastructure.
- At least 4 years of Service Now development.
- Experience with Service Now upgrades.
- Excellent customer‑service skills and ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
- Ability to multi‑task and self‑assign work in a fast‑paced environment.
