About the IT Infrastructure Engineer:

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Market Star’s cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. This role ensures secure, scalable, and high-performing systems across Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, and security platforms while maintaining governance and operational excellence. The position partners closely with global IT, Infosec, data engineering, development, and client delivery teams to ensure infrastructure solutions align with business and security objectives.

Location: Ogden, UT - Hybrid

What Will You Do?
  • Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud services (Entra , subscriptions, RBAC, resource groups).
  • Design and maintain virtual networks, VPNs, private endpoints, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Support Azure Virtual Desktop, VM workloads, and storage solutions.
  • Implement Azure policies, governance frameworks, landing zones, and infrastructure-as-code (ARM/Bicep).
  • Optimize Azure resources for performance, cost efficiency, and security.
  • Manage and secure Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams).
  • Oversee compliance configurations including DLP, data lifecycle management, insider risk, and audit controls.
  • Administer Intune policies, device compliance, and application deployment.
  • Support advanced security features such as Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Defender for Office 365, and sensitivity labelling.
  • Implement Zero Trust principles across identity, device, and network layers.
  • Manage security tools including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Defender for Identity & Endpoint.
  • Maintain secure identity configurations (Azure AD/Entra , Key Vault, Managed Identities).
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure secure routing, segmentation, and access control across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Administer Network Security Groups, DNS, private resolvers, and load-balancing services.
  • Support hybrid integrations across Azure, AWS, and on-prem systems.
What Will You Need to Succeed?
  • Strong experience administering Azure environments and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016+ and Local Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with AWS administration and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience managing Google Workspace environments.
  • Networking knowledge including VLAN configuration and familiarity with Cisco and Juniper switches.
  • Hyper-V administration experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, security mindset, and ability to manage complex infrastructure environments.
