Overview
JD Machine Corp. in Ogden, Utah is hiring an IT Support Specialist. This role supports the IT Manager and Systems Administrator by handling day‑to‑day IT requests, troubleshooting, documentation, equipment setup, user access issues, and task overflow.
ResponsibilitiesIn the position you will:
- Support day‑to‑day IT requests and troubleshooting
- Document procedures and maintain IT asset records
- Set up equipment and resolve user access problems
- Assist with task overflow to enable senior staff to focus on infrastructure and strategic projects
- Help with hands‑on infrastructure tasks such as running/terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, labeling equipment, moving hardware, ordering equipment, and budget tracking
We are looking for candidates with 3–5 years of hands‑on IT experience who are comfortable with:
- Help desk support and user troubleshooting
- Active Directory and Group Policy basics
- RBAC troubleshooting and user access support
- Desktop hardware, software, and application support
- Networking hardware and software troubleshooting
- Windows environments, both cloud and on‑prem
- Power Shell or scripting for queries and automation
- Backup and disaster recovery support
- ERP/QMS application support and post‑update testing
- Scheduled tasks/cron jobs
- Detailed documentation and IT asset support
The ideal candidate does not need to be an administrator or architect of every system listed, but should have solid working knowledge and can troubleshoot confidently.
BenefitsSalary range: $55,000–$75,000 annually, dependent on experience and autonomy level.
A degree is not required. Certifications are helpful, and education reimbursement is provided for job‑related training.
Primarily on‑site: more than 90% of work performed at the Ogden facility. Occasional on‑call or after‑hours support may be required.
