Logistics Clerk
Under minimal supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies. Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverables. Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and rates. Maintains related records. Stamps identify information and shipping instructions on containers. Contacts vendors by mail, phone, or visit, to requisition materials and verify or ensure shipment of goods on promised dates. Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival.
Inspects products for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications. Works to meet schedules and support requirements to meet customer satisfaction. Resolves most questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher level of support. May assist in orientating and training lower-level employees. Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Run the LOB Daily, print the pick tickets to support the program.
- Coordinate weekly cycle counts and correct errors with Supply Chain Managers.
- Keep chart/slides updated and review inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied.
- Support all functions of the Picking department, including Picking, Comping, QC, Receive, checks in, and issue materials in support of daily production activities.
- Establish document files, prepare required documents and reports.
- Maintain inventories and complete records.
- Ensure proper planning, receipt, storage, and issue of all material.
- Coordinate the organization's inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution.
- Work in an environment with constant priority changes.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Obtain forklift certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of directly related work experience.
- Knowledge using Maximo is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including vlook-up and essential formulas.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint basic functions such as creating slides, saving a presentation, and adding text.
- Outlook skills: creating emails, attaching files, and making appointments.
- Good communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and safety orientation.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Experience with electric pallet jacks and forklift.
