Job Description & How to Apply Below

ZB Designs, maker of Wigglitz On-site in Ogden, UT | Reports to Head of Operations | Full-time, salaried Compensation: $75,000-$95,000

ZB Designs is the creative studio behind Wigglitz, the wiggly, fidgety collectible that won 2026 Collectable Toy of the Year and now ships into national retail and DTC.

Our procurement needs grow every quarter. Labels, paper goods, corrugated displays, master cartons, tubes, pouches, headers, and packaging materials for a wide range of unique products across many categories and brands, plus everything our fulfillment, design, and manufacturing teams need to get orders out the door. Right now that buying is spread across a handful of people who already have full-time jobs.

We're hiring a Procurement Manager to own it.

You will live in unit costs, MOQs, lead times, and reorder points. You'll be the person who always knows what we're short on, what it costs to fix, and when it lands.

Speed matters here. New products and retail programs move on short timelines, and you will be asked to source, quote, and buy packaging on a dime without letting cost or quality slip.

What You'll Own
  • The vendor base across printing, packaging, corrugated, retail displays, and fulfillment supplies. Know who manufactures in-house versus who brokers work out, and price accordingly.
  • Competitive quoting on active items and second sources for every single-sourced category.
  • Negotiation on pricing, MOQs, and terms, pushing for better as our volume grows.
  • Every purchase order from issuance through delivery, including expected versus actual arrival dates.
  • Reorder triggers and days-of-cover on every item, plus early flags on long-lead goods, seasonal spikes, and retail launches.
  • Fast-turn buying when a new product or retail program lands. You get quotes back and POs placed in days, not weeks.
  • Artwork, specs, and proofs with our packaging engineering partners and print vendors before production.
  • Landed costs, tracked and driven down without sacrificing quality.
  • Machinery and raw material purchasing as this role matures. We're still drawing that line and expect the right person to help draw it.
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally consumer products, packaging, or print.
  • Hands-on buying of printed and packaged goods: labels, folding cartons, corrugated, retail displays, CDUs, master cartons.
  • Proven negotiation results. You have improved pricing or terms, not just collected quotes.
  • Urgency under pressure. When a launch or retail program needs packaging sourced now, you move without waiting for perfect information.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills across reorder planning, burn rates, and cost modeling.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to motivate others to help you hit your goals.
  • Follow-through that means quotes, POs, specs, and delivery dates never fall through the cracks.
  • The ability to hold a vendor accountable and keep the relationship strong.
Nice to Have
  • International sourcing, including Alibaba suppliers, DDP terms, tariffs, and freight.
  • Retail-ready packaging and display programs for national accounts.
  • Machinery or raw material purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3PL or pick-and-pack experience.
Who Thrives Here

The person who succeeds here is a builder, not a caretaker.

Some categories are well established and just need consistent execution. Others are single-sourced, partially negotiated, or wide open. Much of this runs in spreadsheets today. You will inherit a real list of opportunities and be expected to solve them.

We run on four values:
Fierce Ownership, Competitive Excellence, Decisive Action, and Mental Toughness. You make the call, own the outcome, and keep moving when a vendor misses a date.

Who Should Not Apply
  • You have only executed POs inside a large-company ERP with a vendor base someone else built.
  • You want to manage a team before you have done the buying yourself.
  • You need a documented process handed to you before you can start.
  • You are uncomfortable pushing a supplier on price, quality, or a missed ship date.
  • You move at the pace of your inbox. Our timelines don't wait.
  • You want remote or hybrid. This role is on-site in Ogden.
