The General Manager of Lindquist Memorial Parks is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of cemetery and memorial park operations. This role ensures the highest standards of service, grounds maintenance, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and community engagement while upholding the organization’s long-standing tradition of dignity, compassion, and excellence.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of all memorial park locations.
- Ensure grounds, facilities, and memorial properties are maintained to exceptional standards.
- Coordinate burial services, interments, entombments, and memorial installations.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate cemetery staff, grounds crews, and administrative personnel.
- Foster a positive, mission-driven work culture.
- Ensure staff adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local cemetery regulations.
- Maintain accurate records related to interments, contracts, and trust accounts.
- Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and auditors.
- Support families with compassion and professionalism during services and arrangements.
- Represent Lindquist Memorial Parks at community events and professional associations.
- Develop long‑term plans for property development, expansion, and memorial offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5–10 years of progressive management experience, preferably in cemetery, funeral, hospitality, or service industries.
- Experience managing budgets, staff, and multi‑site operations.
- Combination of office and outdoor environments.
- May require availability during weekends, holidays, and on‑call periods.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional attendance at services.
