Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Iron & Timber Co. is hiring a Construction Director to manage the production and installation of our custom steel projects from approval through installation.
This role is responsible for managing projects, coordinating shop and field teams, and ensuring work moves efficiently through fabrication and installation. You will oversee scheduling, communicate with builders, and help keep projects organized, on time, and aligned with scope.
We’re looking for someone with solid construction experience who can lead people, make decisions, and bring structure to daily operations. We value leaders who follow through on details and take ownership of results. This is a key leadership role within our company, with opportunity over time for expanded operational responsibility and participation in the long-term success of the business.
Responsibilities- Lead projects from contract approval through final installation
- Manage production scheduling and fabrication priorities
- Coordinate closely with the Shop Manager and Install Lead
- Serve as primary point of contact for builders during the lifecycle of the project
- Confirm shop drawings, field measurements, and scope before fabrication begins
- Align shop production with installation timelines
- Monitor job progress, addressing issues early while managing client expectations
- Maintain standards for quality, organization, and safety
- 5+ years experience in construction project management or production leadership
- Experience leading teams and coordinating field and shop operations
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Clear communicator with builders and crews
- Comfortable managing multiple active projects
- Experience in steel fabrication and/or custom construction
- Comfortable using job management software and digital communication tools to track projects and coordinate teams

Compensation: $80K+ salary based on experience, plus company truck
