WSU Davis Events Scheduling Manager
This position oversees all operations and logistics for the Department of Davis Events Scheduling at WSU Davis, including scheduling and oversight of events, assisting with set up and take down, managing the department budget, supervising part‑time staff, serving as the primary contact for facility usage and scheduling, ensuring compliance with facility rules, interacting effectively with a wide range of clientele, providing technological and custodial support for events, and collaborating with university administration and other departments.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all operations and logistics for the department; schedule and oversee events; assist with physical set up and take down; manage the department budget; supervise part‑time staff; handle all correspondence and contracts for facility usage; enforce facility rules, regulations, and policies; interact effectively with a wide range of clientele; assist with technology and custodial support for events; collaborate with university administration and other departments/programs;
and provide support with additional building operations and functions.
- Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent work experience.
- One year of event scheduling management or related experience.
- Basic knowledge and skills with technology.
- Two years of event scheduling management or related experience that includes supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to meet all deadlines.

Physical RequirementsMedium physical work, including climbing, balancing, bending, and lifting. May require ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Requires sustained standing, walking, and use of upper and lower extremities for tasks such as drawing, hauling, and moving objects.

Required to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, using a computer terminal, reading, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, and making general observations of facilities or structures.
