The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the shop team while building the systems, processes, and culture required to support continued growth. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing operational procedures, quality standards, performance metrics, and training programs that drive accountability, consistency, and operational excellence.
They will establish clear expectations, coach and develop employees, and create career development pathways that strengthen the technical capabilities of the team.
As the operational leader of the service and repair shop, this position will work closely with planning, purchasing, and customer‑facing teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Success in this role will be measured not only by operational performance, but by the ability to develop people, improve reliability, increase shop productivity, reduce rework, and build a high‑performing team capable of supporting the company's long‑term growth objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leading industrial service, repair, maintenance, or manufacturing teams while implementing measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and employee development. Experience establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), quality management processes, workforce training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives is essential.
While leadership and process improvement capabilities are critical, this role also requires a strong technical understanding of mechanical systems. The successful candidate will possess a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical background, allowing them to effectively support the team, provide technical guidance, evaluate repair approaches, and identify opportunities to improve repair quality and execution.
This is not a hands‑on repair role; however, a strong mechanical foundation is necessary to effectively lead the operation and shop team.
