Quality Technician

Job Summary:

Focus Manufacturing is seeking a full-time Quality Technician to join our team in Ogden, Utah. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections across all stages of the production process.

Responsibilities:

• Dimensionally inspect all parts (internally manufactured and sourced) using measuring devices to ensure they meet engineering specifications
• Follow specifications of blueprints and general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Analyze inspection data and manage non-conformances
• Complete required paperwork and checklists
• Perform work with a high degree of responsibility with an emphasis on safety and quality
• Read and understand blueprints, part drawings, internal process instructions and other technical data to perform visual and dimensional inspection activities
• Collaborates with all departments to ensure quality at the source and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Some experience in quality control in a product manufacturing setting
• Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments
• Some experience in GD&T and the reading of drawings
• Strong mathematical and communication skills
• Ability to pay exceptional attention to detail and have the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively
• Experience with computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
