Machinist II or III

JOB SUMMARY

The Machinist II or III will play a critical role in helping Focus Manufacturing Services bring our machining capabilities to a higher level of professionalism in growing our company to the next level.
Lathe experience preferred

• A good understanding of machine shop operations.
• Works well with a team environment.
• Experienced and strong understanding of Mill & Lathe three and four-axis C.N.C. machines.
• Experienced with setting up each of the machine and running First Article Inspections.
• Familiarity with tooling cutters inserts /tooling holders.
• Experience with organization tools such as 5S.
• Past experience of maintaining the machines. (Coolant oils and filters.)
• 5+ Years of experience

• Assist with Master Cam programming.
• Set up jobs on any of the machines and train other team members to become efficient as well.
• Work daily to continuously improve the process.
• Aid in any of the techniques/procedures by ensuring we have the correct procedures/blueprints for each job we run in our machine shop.
• Strive for kitting jobs to best suit the demands of the jobs to eliminate waste.
• Follow and maintain schedule.
• Understanding the names of parts and fixtures to go along with procedures.
• Contribute to improving the safety of our shop.
• Maintain a clean machine shop environment.
• Minimize scrap.
• Complete understanding of each print and its GD&T requirements.
• Keep machine run time utilization high.
