Plant Superintendent

This is a manufacturing environment and an on-site role. This position is open due to a retirement.

• Base: 130-150K
• Quarterly cash bonus: 15%

• Metal Fabrication or machining experience preferred (Castings or casting repair experience is ideal)
• Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing experience required;
  Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field

The Superintendent will have responsibility, manage and coordinate daily organizational activities, to include but not limited to:
Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing, etc. The Superintendent must ensure the achievement of production requirements, quality and reliability standards, and on-time delivery at the lowest cost.

• Responsible for safely manufacturing a quality product while meeting customer specifications and delivery commitments.
• Ensure adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions.
• Control quality, delivery, cost of production, work-in-process levels, and monitor production through planning.
• Recommend and purchase new equipment for expansion, efficiency, cost reductions, and quality improvement.
• Provide input on the design and installation of equipment for new manufacturing processes.
• Ensure EHS rules are always followed by every employee in the departments.
• Manage operational metrics, including TOC, variable cost, and productivity targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, or 10+ years experience in manufacturing setting.
• MS or MBA degree is desirable.
• Prefer 7+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Investment Casting Experience strongly preferred.
• Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing experience required;
  Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred.
