Job Summary
WP-Dynamics, a leading manufacturer of aftermarket lift kits and suspension systems, is seeking motivated MIG Welders to join our manufacturing team in Ogden, Utah. We are hiring welders at multiple experience levels, from entry-level candidates looking to develop their welding skills to experienced welders capable of mentoring others and supporting production leadership. This position is responsible for welding steel components and fabricated assemblies while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Successful candidates will take pride in producing clean, consistent welds and contributing to the overall quality of our performance products.
Compensation will be determined based on experience, welding proficiency, fabrication knowledge, and overall skill level.
Responsibilities- Perform MIG welding on steel components and fabricated assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Inspect welded parts for quality, fitment, and dimensional accuracy
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain expected production and quality standards
- Perform basic maintenance and preventative maintenance on welding equipment
- Follow shop welding procedures and visual inspection criteria
- Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift
- Lift and move materials weighing 40–60 lbs as needed
- Stand and work for extended periods during scheduled shifts
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
- Assist with training and mentoring newer welders
- Support department leads and fill in as needed
- Troubleshoot weld quality or fitment issues
- Help maintain workflow and production efficiency
- Basic MIG welding experience or welding school/trade program completion preferred
- Ability to pass a weld test and dimensional inspection test
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools
- Previous production MIG welding experience preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and fabrication skills
- Ability to maintain consistent weld quality with minimal supervision
- Experience mentoring or training others is a plus
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Dependability and strong attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Automotive, suspension, or off-road fabrication experience is a plus
