MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write equipment installation and operation protocols. (IQ-OQ & SOP)
  • Assist with the continuous improvement goals of Capstone Nutrition.
  • Improve machine efficiencies, help manage new equipment installs.
  • Design using CAD software new tooling and machine layouts for production equipment.
  • Assist with design of new equipment and or modification to existing equipment & tooling.
  • Reverse engineer existing high cost OEM parts to have fabricated in house or at a local machine shop.
  • Assist the machine shop when needed using manual mills, lathes, band saw & edge break.
  • Support daily production by identifying chronic issues and problems that cannot be resolved by production associates.
  • Support continuous improvement activities by participating in Kaizen initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and auxiliary equipment to the production area.
  • Accountable for the quality of work.
  • Accurate and timely recording of information on specified documents.
  • Proper use and care of equipment and materials issued to work area.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Be proficient using AutoCAD & 3D modeling Software
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering,
  • Knowledge and experience in machining is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inspection and measurement instruments is a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong overall computer skills required including Excel and Word proficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience/ability to work with cross functional teams and multiple levels within the organization.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job, including, but not limited to the ability to utilize computer software, read technical equipment manuals, communicate solutions, write proposals, edit and understand SOP's, and create documentation and other internal and external communications.
WORK CONDITIONS
  • Regularly subject to normal office environment.
  • Occasionally subject to normal warehouse and production environment.
  • Occasionally subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required and all personnel protective equipment is required.
  • Occasionally subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, powders, dust and other particles.
