Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join its engineering team in Ogden, Utah. This role is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, cost-effective production while meeting customer, company, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on manufacturing engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving processes, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support the production of highly engineered aerospace components.

• Provide manufacturing engineering support for customer parts and assemblies from development through production.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to maximize quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate engineering, tooling, and manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and budget requirements.
• Establish and implement process controls to ensure repeatable and compliant manufacturing operations.
• Support and oversee manufacturing processes including welding, heat treat, brazing, vacuum furnace operations, non‑destructive testing (NDT), laser processing, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and sheet metal forming.
• Ensure manufacturing processes, tooling, and procedures comply with customer requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
• Investigate manufacturing issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions for process or product non‑conformances.
• Develop and maintain statistical tools and process monitoring systems including trend analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Support customer requests for quote (RFQs) by providing technical input, manufacturing estimates, and process recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to resolve technical challenges and support customer needs.
• Develop new manufacturing methods and revise existing processes to improve throughput, quality, and production efficiency.
• Support implementation of new engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Aerospace manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience required (in a manufacturing environment).
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of machining, sheet metal forming, welding, brazing, heat treat, vacuum furnace operations, NDT, laser processing, EDM.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes, routers, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Experience with titanium, nickel alloys, superalloys, or other aerospace materials is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer drawings, engineering specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• CAD experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
